Founded in July 2019, Macor (formerly Korkeila Jewellery) is inspired by the Nordic lifestyle, which is all about simple beauty and practicality. Our passion is to make ethical jewellery and minimise the
footprint of jewellery manufacturing on the planet.

MEET THE FOUNDER
The name Macor comes from founder and designer MArika KORkeila.
"You know those little moments that feel like scenes from a movie? They touch you deeply and stay with you for the rest of your life. These are the moments that change the direction of your future. I've had a few.
Ever since I was little, I've been fascinated by the little details. I remember the impact of my art teacher's words in high school when she told me not to focus on details when I was drawing. She told me to let go and forget about them and instead focus on the bigger picture. She was right in that I often focused so much on details that I had many unfinished drawings. Yet it was that comment that touched me deeply. I felt strongly that no, details are important and they meant so much to me. Now everything makes sense in jewellery design: the little details matter."
